I’m working on a new site that leverages Facebook as the main traffic driver. It’s going to be more of a pet project/market test. I keep seeing all of these websites that were started and 3 months later, rank super high in Alexa, all from a post going viral on Facebook.
I’m mainly good at getting traffic from google and twitter, so this will be an interesting way to test my skills. I definitely think there is a time component to the project. Soon, Facebook is going to crack down on these types of sites, but it hasn’t yet!
I’m a firm believer that great things usually take time and a longterm solid base of traffic is usually earned from hours at the computer. However, I do think you’d have to be an idiot to ignore this new traffic delivery network and how to “hack” the edgerank algorithm.
I really should have gotten my toes in the water sooner, but I’ve been super busy with crowdfunding related stuff.
To give you an idea of the opportunity…
